Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this newly-created role will oversee all fundraising activities, primarily focused on major gift acquisition and corporate relationships including:

the continued development and management of a fundraising and relationship building strategy for the ONJCRI; and
working closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Officers to identify, cultivate and solicit major gift prospects and donors in order to create significant new revenue streams to support the growth of the ONJCRI.
This is a significant opportunity to help lead the Institute’s growth and development strategies from philanthropic sources.

Who we are:

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute (ONJCRI) is embedded within the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre. The ONJCRI’s mission is to discover and develop breakthrough therapies to help people live better with cancer or defeat it. Our research laboratories sit alongside patient treatment facilities to optimise collaboration between researchers and clinicians. The integration of laboratory and clinic ensures the rapid translation of scientific discoveries into clinical trials for the development of new cancer treatments. The ONJCRI is a global leader in the development of immunotherapies, targeted therapeutics and personalised cancer medicine.

About you:

As the ideal candidate, you’ll have strong strategic vision supported by an outstanding ability to deliver. Ideally, you will be a major donor, sponsorship and/or corporate executive with a proven track record in acquiring, negotiating and delivering substantial monetary gifts in a philanthropic or business development environment, resulting in increased and ongoing financial commitments to the organisation. Your career at a senior fundraising level demonstrates your strong interpersonal and business development skills.
