Activate Entertainment is seeking a committed, hard-working professional educator and administrator with a strong interest in film, technology and young people's learning, with demonstrated previous experience in education or arts administration to join a small Education team.

Activate Entertainment, a division of Nextgen Creative, is our film education division and has become a market leader in media arts education and device-based filmmaking. We deliver high-quality and unique workshops and programs including augmented reality experiences, designed to excite, engage and educate. We bring schools, offices, libraries, festivals and homes alive through these workshops and our offering of device-based filmmaking equipment.
Activate has helped produce hours of engaging content for a variety of demographics. The business has built significant relationships with parents, local councils and libraries, government departments, nationwide festivals, Education Queensland and many companies and businesses in the private sector.

Your Impact
As Education Coordinator & Facilitator, your role will be to facilitate our workshops and promote our filmmaking equipment whilst assisting with administrative tasks including handling and taking bookings, liaising with organisations, teachers, students and parents, answering enquiries and replying to correspondence, data input and record management.
We are seeking a committed, fun and engaging, passionate individual with a strong interest in film, technology and young people's learning, with demonstrated previous experience in education or arts administration to join this small, but growing business.
As Education Coordinator & Facilitator you need to establish a high degree of personal credibility and demonstrate a sound understanding of the media and arts industry and emerging technologies including iPads, their applications and augmented reality. You will be required to work autonomously and will be given a high degree of creative licence.
What Will Help You Succeed
You will have knowledge of the QLD and national education sector, including the Australian curriculum (in particular, Media Arts, IT, Film, Drama and English) and knowledge of contemporary Australian film and the film industry. You will show initiative and problem solving skills and enjoy working both autonomously and within a team that is fast paced and target driven.
You are highly motivated and naturally inquisitive, with the ability to build rapport and show personal interest with a diverse range of customers. The successful candidate will be required to have (or obtain) with a Working with Children Check clearance number and a current Senior First Aid Certificate. A current driver's licence and vehicle is also required.
