The purpose of this role is Technical implementation (install / configure) and support of Microsoft Windows based environments along with VMware and Blade Enclosures (including Clusters / Web / Citrix).
Working as part of a team, providing implementation services (build, integration, migration) and on-going remote support activities for Client’s in line with Service Level Agreements & Customer Orders.
Strong demonstrable Active Directory and or Citrix skills are highly desired.
Responsibilities:
Implement and manage project requests through:
Quality solution review.
Effective planning and time management.
Charging of time appropriately to T&M WBSE.
Proactive communications, escalation and team collaboration.
Quality implementation practices.
Seamless execution.
Measures (not limited to):
Ensuring solutions clearly articulate implementations responsibilities and effort on review – ensure scope is clear.
Ensure work is completed within 10% of quoted time/cost estimates.
Effectively manage time on quoted work.
Escalate to Team Leader and/or project coordinator potential time/cost overruns. Retain evidence of approvals.
Escalate deadlines in jeopardy and ensure Team Leader has visibility.
Identify new T&M opportunities and bring to the attention of management and the account.
Maximize billable T&M through accurate timesheet recording.
Minimize use of BAU WBSE.
Complete implementations with minimal rework.
Qualifications/Experience
Demonstrable skills and experience in the installation, configuration and remote support of Windows 2008 / 2012 Server.
Demonstrable skills and experience in the installation and maintenance of a VMware environment - Clustered.
Demonstrable skills and experience in Active Directory – Health Check and Maintenance.
Experience with Blade Systems and Chassis highly desirable (C7000). Virtual Connect & Onboard Administrator.
Working knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols & services i.e.: TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
Experience with Citrix is highly desirable.
Implementation of projects within design documentation and allocated time estimates.
Understanding of ITIL framework
Having working knowledge and or experience on any SAN technology would be advantageous.
