The Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for identifying the software and hardware components making up the technology layer of the new Patient Queuing and Wait Management System as well as the ongoing development of technical documentation for all designs undertaken.
To ensure end-to-end delivery, the Senior Technical Analyst is also expected to have an understanding of ICT project management, resourcing, and budgeting; and will work cooperatively with business project managers to ensure that detailed designs have been implemented correctly.
The responsibilities of the role will consist of some or all of the following:
Document and map interfaces between legacy and the new system.
Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability.
Analyze requirements and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems.
Assist with the implementation of the new system, including data migration.
Work closely with architects, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure enterprise and SA Health technical compatibility.
Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting.
As the successful candidate your background will include some or all of the following:
An understanding of, and experience in, the implementation of a patient queuing system (especially within a large hospital outpatient environment).
Comprehensive ICT domain knowledge specific to the position (information, programming, development, integration)
Comprehensive knowledge of systems’ integration techniques.
Comprehensive knowledge of system development lifecycle management and testing.
Comprehensive knowledge of ICT system deployment and management.
Knowledge of ICT project management techniques and resourcing models.
Proven experience in the development of detailed software development designs and specifications for highly complex technology environments comprised of multiple integrated systems.
Highly effective interpersonal skills, with proven ability to relate effectively to a diverse customer base, negotiate successful outcomes in an innovative and resourceful manner, whilst maintaining a high standard of professional competence and an ethical approach.
Tertiary education in IT, Business, Engineering or equivalent.
