Sydney based Erth - Visual & Physical Inc. creates striking visual theatre at the forefront of new performance practice. Since its beginnings in 1990, the Company has provided audiences with eye popping visual experiences with giant puppetry, inflatable environments, aerial and flying creatures.
Erth have built an Australian, and increasingly international reputation based on exceptional work. Erth's flagship show, Erth's Dinosaur Zoo (EDZ) has toured extensively since 2008, capturing the imaginations of family audiences and building the companies reputation.
Erth employs a number of puppet makers, props builders, artists and technicians from a diverse range of backgrounds to undertake the design, construction and maintenance of our menagerie of puppets, (including our herd of dinosaurs). We are currently seeking to expand the skills base of our team in response to upcoming contracts and we have a range of casual and/or short-term contracts roles available.
Whilst the skills base we require is diverse, we are keen to talk with people who have a at least one of the following areas of expertise:
2+ years experience in props/puppet construction
Experience in the design and construction of machinery/mechanisms
Experience and qualifications in the field of electronics/electrician
Experience and qualifications in the field of light industrial construction/engineering (carpentry/welding/general construction)
The following qualifications are not essential but will also be considered favourably:
Standard Drivers License
Fork Lift License
Rigging qualifications
Test and tag qualifications
