Our Cairns early intervention service develops and delivers programs that focus on key elements including behaviour, developmental and social skills as well as family based interventions to meet the needs of individuals and their families.
The team in Edmonton currently has an opportunity for a fully registered Psychologist to :
deliver, through both centre-based and outrach services, group and individual intervention programs
work collaboratively with other professional staff within Autism Queensland to make decisions regarding appropriate services for families
prepare and maintain assessment, observation and progress reports
collaborate to continuously improve interventions delivered by other Autism Queensland professionals
provide training and information to colleagues, parents and other professionals regarding the role of psychology for individuals with ASD and their families
provide family support services such as referrals, counselling and group parents for parents and siblings
This role could be offered on either a part-time or full-time basis - please indicate your preference when applying.
Applications are invited from fully registered Psychologists with case management skills, knowledge and experience of a range of intervention strategies relevant to individuals with ASD and their families and the proven ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
