This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team. The practice is fully computerised and accredited by AGPAL.
The position is for either fulltime or part-time hours with flexibility and can be negotiated.
No night shifts required
RESPONSIBILITIES
Including but not limited to:-
Assist doctors with clinical procedures
Triage
Coordination of Patient recalls and reminders
Care Plans, Health Assessments
Venesection/drawing blood
Immunisation/Vaccination
ECG/ Spirometry
Wound Management
Cold Chain Management
Infection Control
Awareness of current and new legislation compliance
WHS requirements
Stock control
Skill and Experience
Essential
Relevant Tertiary qualification and Registration Certificates
Current AHPRA Registration
Knowledge of current Immunisation schedule
Knowledge of Diabetes and Asthma management
Knowledge of Primary Health Care
Infection Control
CPR Training
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Professional presentation a caring attitude and ability to build a strong rapport with patients.
Desirable
Competence in the use of relevant equipment & medical software – such as Medical Director
Experience in similar role as practice nurse or community-based nursing.
Experience with specific social groups serviced by practice, such as adolescents, aged care, migrant or refuge groups, Aboriginals and Torres Straight Islanders, etc.
Additional qualifications such as Accredited Women’s Health Certificate, Diabetes Education Certificate, Asthma/Spirometry qualification/education
