We are currently looking for a full-time Designer Drafter CAD with a plastics/manufacturing and tools background in an expanding Adelaide based company who are seeking an experienced, efficient, and hard-working, qualified CAD drafter.
In order to be considered for the role you will have several years of experience in a similar role, a strong work ethic and attention to detail, as well as a Tertiary and/or trade qualifications in design or engineering. Experience in Microsoft application is essential, in particular advance skills in use of spreadsheets, word processing and databases.
The Design Drafter Cad is responsible for:
Creating designs and design layouts for new product concepts, new products or improvements in existing products:
Completing engineering design for new and improved products which meets market, safety, quality, performance, reliability, durability requirements
Preparing design layouts and coordinates design with others assigned to the project to ensure integration of the design
Completing detailed designs from specification outlines
Reviewing and taking action to solve problem designs and coordinating the required documentation to assure that changes are implemented on a time
Completing any additional tasks as requested by the Lead Designer
Accepting and adhering to all WHS responsibilities, policies, procedures and safe work practices related to the position
The Design Drafter Cad must possess the following:
Tertiary and/or trade qualifications in design or engineering
Engineering and trade experience is essential; keeping abreast of current development and trends in the area of expertise
Advanced design and drafting skills (solid works/autocad)
Project management skills are essential
Experience in Microsoft application is essential, in particular advance skills in use of spreadsheets, word processing and databases
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and external contacts at all levels
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills are essential
Ability to respond to continual changing of priorities
Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently with minimum supervision
A "can do" attitude
