Our client is a small fee for service government agency based in the inner south of Canberra. The role commences mid Feb until the end of June however there may also be an option for a 12 month extension.
The Branch is responsible for the efficient collection of revenue and the provision of quality customer service through expert advice on accounts receivable processes. They continuously seek new ways to improve practices and reduce the regulatory burden to their stakeholders.
Your duties include:
Help desk management and enquiry management and advice to clients in relation to the operation of the relevant legislation;
Billing and receipting;
Debt collection and account management;
Liaison with internal business areas on product billing matters;
Monthly reconciliations and reporting
Processing of cancellations and transfers from the Register;
Other tasks as required.
You need to have the ability to develop and maintain highly effective working relationships and the following skills and qualifications:
Qualifications in accounting, finance or related disciplines;
Knowledge of the Government's financial framework;
Good written and verbal communication skills;
Experience using financial systems; and
Microsoft Excel skills.
You must be an Australia citizen and available to commence mid February.
