Your role as an Systems Administrator will be to ensure that the company’s infrastructure is available to all users at optimum performance with minimal interruption to business. This will include managing primary and DR sites and working on the continuous improvement of the infrastructure assets.
The primary duties will be:
Monitor and maintain servers including hardware, operating systems, required software, available memory and performance to ensure they operate at optimal levels with minimal downtime;
Set up and troubleshoot issues with DNS, DHCP, File, Web & IIS, and database servers.
Execute effective planning and management of infrastructure and network related upgrades of changes;
Manage Office 365, including Outlook, Lync and SharePoint;
Create and update documentation including service catalogue and network related diagrams;
Analyse network traffic to understand bottlenecks, broadcast flooding, collisions
Management of primary and disaster recovery infrastructure and networks
Provide hardware support to staff via phone, email and in person.
Support the IT & Software Development Manager, Systems Administrator and Software developers as required.
Configure switches, routers and VPN using Putty, Telnet, patching routers, switches to network ports;
To be successful in this role :
Experience in Microsoft / Windows environments with windows servers, active directory management, load balancing, remote desktop, Office 365 exchange and mailbox, hardware and software installation, windows OS;
Demonstrated experience with SCCM (Systems Center Configuration Manager) with installation, configuration and deployment
Demonstrated experience with windows software update services (WSUS);
Demonstrated VMware experience such as creating VM’s, VM templates, virtual switches, editing VM’s, VMware clusters, vMotion, administration and troubleshooting via vSphere
Demonstrated experience in the configuration of CISCO routers, switches and ports in remote office environment - advantageous;
Experience with network management - VPN, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, use of VLAN tagging (trunking) of switch ports, firewall management, NAT creation and port forwarding and security management - advantageous;
System backup and recovery experience inclusive of Backup Exec, Veeam backup and Shadow Protect;
Experience with Trend Micro Anti-Virus.
