This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Perioperative Nurse Unit Manager to join this progressive and diverse organisation based in Brisbane. Your exceptional leadership and clinical skills will be essential in the development of these busy operating theatres. You will be the vital key for the continual improvement of the department, liaising with staff and surgeons and overseeing the financial and resource management of the theatres
Pre-requisites
Current AHPRA registration.
You have experience of 3-5 years in perioperative services.
Experience in theatre management or a similar role would be ideal.You are flexible and open to change and have a natural ability to lead, motivate and inspire the team.
Completed post graduate studies in Perioperative Nursing.
You have exceptional verbal and documentation skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the multidisciplinary team and hospital management.
Customer service is an area you are passionate about and believe a level of customer service for all patients in the operating department.
You have successfully managed budgets, targets and Key Performance Indicators.
Awareness of legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilisation standards.
Knowledge and application of accreditation, quality and risk management activities.
You have the natural ability to promote team spirit with an open door policy for your staff.
Ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels for exceptional satisfaction.
