Claims Assessor - Health Insurance - Porterallen (Sydney / CBD, Inner West & Eastern Suburbs)

About the role:
This role is newly created and has arisen due to growth and internal restructure. This position will be responsible for reviewing claims files across the business, identifying and reporting on benefit leakage or gaps in performance and identifying, suggesting and implementing improvements to systems and processes.
Key Duties:
Review & report on claims and systems utilized to ensure accuracy
Identify & report on opportunities for improvements and report to management
Identify potential fraud
Ensure claims are paid in accordance to fund rules
maintain claims quality by ensuring processing accuracy targets are achieved
Reporting to management on a monthly basis, conducting audits, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations
Skills & Experience:
Experience within claims, systems & processes (preferably from a health background but general insurance will be considered)
Understanding of insurance products and policies
Strong analytical and problem solving skills along with advanced MS office skills
Experience in dealing with different stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to make recommendations and influence decisions
