They seek a Junior Architect, Architectural Technician or Interior Architect with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate Australian experience to both help Project Architects manage a variety of mainly Interiors Hospitality projects and to work autonomously.
Experience in projects in Interiors in the Hospitality or Commercial sectors is preferable but not required. Residential experience alone is insufficient for this role.
You will need to demonstrate the potential and enthusiasm to have a go at managing components of larger projects from Concept Design through all stages to Construction, under the direction of the Project Architect. In this role you will alongside a small team of other junior architects and architectural technicians.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge of how to prepare the documentation package required for a Development Approval application, and of the DA process itself.
Outstanding knowledge of the BCA, construction detailing, and interiors documentation for construction and tender is sought for this role. This opportunity is not for those candidates accustomed to or content with doing mark-ups, but for those who can think and work independently. Asking the right questions at the right time is encouraged at this practice.
The preferred candidate will have gained some of their experience at the recognised leading architectural and interior design practices of Sydney.
AutoCAD skills and knowledge are essential in Contract and Tender Documentation. The studio is in the early stages of transitioning to Revit, and Revit skilled and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
This is a busy practice with a solid client base and multiple projects underway.
